INJURIES IN ROME.
ALLEGED VICTIMS OF RAID. BRITAIN DENIES INCIDENT. (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 26. “The Times” says that the Italian and German press is greatly fussing about civilians injured on Tuesday night when the anti-aircraft defences went into action against ’planes over Rome. Officials in London declare that there have been no Royal Air Force ’planes over Rome since Italy entered the war. The Italians arc. merely repeating the Venice incident, when Italian batteries fired on their own .bomboVs, two of which wore brought down.
