KING IN AIR RAID.
IN AN UNDERGROUND SHELTER.
ATTACK LASTS 10 MINUTES.
LONDON, July 25
His Majesty spent 10 minutes in an underground shelter during an air raid while visiting naval establishments on the south coast.
His Majesty went aboard and inspected French, Norwegian, Polish and Netherlands naval units. When the King visited the London docks yesterday he saw ships unloading and ships just leaving, and all the other activities of a busy port. On visiting the Royal Fusiliers’ canteen, his Majesty name upon a number oi men enjoying glasses of beer. His Majesty talked with them for some time and when he left he received the universal farewell observed throughout England, the raised glass and “Good luck, sir.”
