BOMBING SUCCESS
RAIDS ON AFRICAN OBJECTIVES.
AMMUNITION DUMP DAMAGED.
SEVERAL ITALIANS SHOT DOWN.

A communique states: “The Royal Air Force yesterday successfully bombed a large ammunition dump south of Bardia. Several direct hits were scored, causing blue flashes. Part of the clump was completely blown away. Gladiators 1 covering the bombers met a largo formation of fighters and definitely shot down four, and another is not likely to reach its base. All our bombers returned, but one fighter is missing. “A direct hit was scored on a hangar during a raid on 'Maeaca. Two other hangars were severely damaged. “A light between a Sunderland flyingboat and an Italian fighter ended when the Italian dived out of control.
“All our planes returned safely from the raid on Maeaca.
“Two enemy raids on Malta resulted in very slight damage. It is reported that an enemy bomber was probably destroyed by anti-aircraft fire.” AIR RAIDS ON ROME. TWO KILLED, FOUR WOUNDED. ROME, July 25. The Official Italian News Agency states that two persons were killed and four wounded in air raids on Rome last night.
