MEN’S HOCKEY.

THE FIVE-A-SIDE TOURNEY. i SEVENTEEN TEAMS ENTERED. ■ Eleven senior and six junior teams have been entered for the five-a-side tournament to be held on Saturday under the auspices of the Ashburton Men’s Hockey Association. In the senior competition, matches will consist of one spell of six minutes, and in the junior of one spell of five minutes. The junior grade will commence at 1.30 p.m. and the senior grade 45 minutes later. Teams have been entered as follow: Seniors—Thistle A and B; Rokeby A, B. C and D; Baring Square A and B; Wakanui, Ashburton A and B. Juniors Thistle, Ashburton ancl Baring Square two teams each. The following will represent their respective clubs— Ashburton. Senior A—L. Lees, O. Moore, H. Thompson, R. Smith and A. Reid. Senior B—R. ISeammell, W. Johnston, C. Dix, C. Moore, B. Miller. Junior A A. Burton, P. Vincent, M. Stayt, J. Bell, C. Finn. Junior B—D. Smith, T. Challis, E. Dobson, R. Dobson, A Travers. Emergencies: Eyles'and Clayton
