Notice is hereby given that the Ashburton Electric-Power Board proposes at its Meeting to be held at its Office in Ashburton on the 19th; day of AUGUST, 19-10 to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £BOOO for the purpose of the construction and completion of electric works as defined by. “The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925” or its amendments for the supply distribution and utilisation of electric works in the Ashburton District, The proposed loan will be secured by a. rate of one-seventy-fifth of a penny in the pound on the Capital value of the rateable property in the District. It is anticipated that the security rate will not be collected, but that the annual costs of the loan will ho met from revenue. The proposed term of the loan is 25 years at a rate of interest not exceeding 4 per cent. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the xVshburton Electric-Power Board not later than the day proceeding the said Meeting. 1 Dated this 24th day of July, 1940. 11.
