EDUCATION BOARD.

THREE MEMBERS ELECTED.

(Special to the “Guardian.”) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Tho election of three members to the Canterbury Education Board, two for tlie Christchurch urban, area and one for the Timaru urban area, vas announced yesterday. The Christchurch members are Messrs S. Baird and C. S. Thompson, and the Timaru member, Mr G. Benstead. The voting in the Christchurch election was: Blamuel Baird 141, Clifford Simeon. Thompson 137, Albert .Edward Forsey 24.

The voting in Timaru was: George Benstead 18, Albert Edward Lawrence 15. Six members of the board retired this year, three of them being re-elect-ed unopposed.
