ENTERTAINMENTS.

ST. JAMES THEATRE. “FISHERMAN’S WHARF.” Wide varied and entertaining throughout the final screening will be given to-night of Chapter 13 of “The Lone Ranger Rides Again” together with Bobby Breen in “Fisherman’s Wharf” and the King of Horror, Boris Karloff in “The Man They Could Not Hang.” George Formhy’s latest mirthquake “Come On George” commences at the matinee to-morrow. A riotous horseracing comedy, it is a picture George has always wanted to make since he left the racing stables to become a screen, stage and radio star. It is not generally known that the famous comedian was once apprenticed to a racing stable and could top the scales at the midget weight of 6st. 71b. Throughout bis later life he has always had a great affection for horses and racing. Press reviewers everywhere unanimously acclaim it “Formby’s best and funniest film,” which is not to he wondered at, when George admitted he enjoyed making it more than any picture he’s ever made, and renders in his inimitable style another bracket of comedy songs, you’ll roar with laugh when George on the outsider of the field, scrambles oyer one hurdle, crawls over the second and falls over the next in the most hilarious hurdle race ever run.
