MISSION AUXILIARY.

WILLOWBY METHODISTS IYJEET. The monthly meeting of the Willowby Methodist Women’s Missionary Auxiliary was held on Wednesday afternoon at the residence' of Mrs G. H. B. Li 11. The attendance was good, visitors being present from Ashburton and Lowcliffe. After the opening exercises, conducted by the president (Mrs W. W. Avery) a good'programme- of musical items interspersed with the reading of missionary letters was enjoyed. Mrs F. H. Chapman read the Dominion President’s letter, Mrs It-. J. Chapman read letters from the Rev, Mr Goldie, Mrs Metcalf and Sister Merle, Mrs W. Lill read the letters of the- Rev. D. Alley and Sister Vera, while Miss H. Lill read extracts from two other letters.

Miss 11. Lill reported having sent away 3308 used stamps for mission funds during the month. It was decided to join the noon prayer circle sponsored by Auckland women. The musical items were: —Quartette, women’s nuartette party; - solo, Mrs Allan Chapman; duet, Misses H. and M. Lill; solo, “Hear My Prayer,” Miss May Allen; solo, “My Task,” Miss E. Hayman. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Lill and members of the auxiliary. The afternoon was* a. special mission gift afternoon, and a good array of useful parcels was handed in for mission boxes overseas and in New Zealand. The collections- were for the Kura-Hura Mission School and missiop funds.
