CANADA’S SUPPORT.

WAR AGAINST NEW FOE. ITALY AS CARRION BIRD*. '’ \ - OTTAWA, June 10. The Canadian House of Commons and thei Canadian Senate unanimously voted in favour of Mir Mackenzie King’s resolution asking His Majesty to declare war against Italy on behalf of Canada. Mr Mackenzie King said: “Knowing where Italy stands has freed the hands of Britain and France for more vigorous action.” Mr Mackenzie King likened Signor Mussolini’s attitude during the recent months to that of a carrion bird* waiting to swoop on its prey. Italy’s entry into the w'ar would only increase Canada’s determination to stand at the side of Britain and France “until the powers, of evil are vanquished.” added Mr Mackenzie King. Police are rounding up Italians throughout the country. The ConsulGeneral and other Italian Government representatives are receiving their passports immediately. Canada, Britain, and France are jointly constructing munitions slants costing 20,000,000 dollars, one to fill shells and another to produce nitrocellulose. .
