TERRITORIALS FOR CAMP. ONLY TEMPORARY RELEASE. (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 11. The ‘man power . district advisory committees had been authorised to deal with applications by employers for the postponement of service of territorials called up for special training under the scheme recently announced by the Government, said the Minister of Man Power (the Hon. D. Wilson) to-day. As was the case in respect of men enlisting in the Expeditionary Force, there would be no complete exemption from service but, Where necessary,. postponements might bo granted to enable employers to make any temporary adjustments necessary. “I feel,”- said Mr Wilson, “that Territorials required to undergo a period of training can in most instances be more readily released than those volunteering for the ’Expeditionary Force, and in these circumstances any firm or individual seeking postponement of the service of a member of a mobilised units must demonstrate that every possible measure has been taken to release personnel for service before postponement of service will be agreed to. In addition, it will be necessary to show that the retention of any member of a mobilised unit in his civilian occupation is in tha national interest. Similar provisions apply to any application for the release from service after training has commenced. Firms or individuals seeking to apply for postponement should submit full details to the secretaries of the local committees to enable applications to receive consideration at the earliest possible moment.”
