’PLANES ATTACK ITALIANS.
ENEMY POWER CRIPPLED. (Received This Day, 1.45 p.m.) CAIRO, June 11. A second Royal Air Force communique states: “British, planes made additional attacks to those mentioned. They bombed troop concentrations and more petrol dumps.” The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Air Force in the Middle East (Air-Marshal Sir H. Longmore) told correspondents that he thought the Royal Air Force raids had crippled Italy’s air striking power in the Middle East. They had caught the Italians by surprise, probably explaining the light anti-aircraft fire arid the weak opposition from fighter planes.
