The total donation to the Sick, Wounded and Distress Fund of the inmates of the Tuarangi Home is £7 17s. NOT YET CLOSED. WELLINGTON, June 11. Sir James Elliott explained to-day that in his application of the splendid response made to the Sick, Wounded and Distress Fund Appeal, ho said the appeal was closed. The word should have been “closing.” He understood the appeal was not closing before ,the end of this week and of course funds would continue to accrue after the official closing as the result of arrangements made in the course of the appeal.
