MISSION UNION.

THE MAYFIELD PRESBYTERIANS. The annual meeting of the Mayfield branch of the (Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Tinian was held yesterday afternoon, when the president (Mrs J. S. Freeman) presided over a> fair attendance. Mrs H. R. Tasker was welcomed as a. new member. It was decided to write to Mesdames J. W. Kingan and Rich, who had both left the district. > It was agreed to attend the meeting at C'arcw on June 20, when the speaker will ibe Miss Kathleen Every. It was reported that £8 8s 6d had been taken at the garden party hetld at Mrs Austin’s residence in May. The Busy Bees conducted a successful sale of work, the proceeds amounting to £2 15s 6d. '( /, / Mrs Rutherford Waddell was welcome and gave an interesting talk on her work and also addressed the Busy Bees. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to her. The annual report showed a satisfactory year and the balance-sheet showed that a creditable amount had been allocated to different funds. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mrs J. S. Freeman; vicepresidents, Mesdames L. Mcllroy and W. E'lmslie; treasurer, Mrs A. Murdoch ; M.M.P.L., Mrs L. Mcllroy; Oriental work, Mrs G. J. Murdoch; missionary boxes, Mrs A. Murdoch; Harvest Field, Mrs C. Sewell; correspondence member, Mrs H. R. Tasker; Arrowroot secretary, Mrs J. D. Murdoch. t

The office' of secretary w r as left oyer till the next meeting. The meeting closed after afternoon tea. had been served.
