TVTOTICE is hereby given that the County Council of the County of Ashburton, acting in pursuance of Section 4 of the Ashburton Rivers Act, 1936, at a special meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 22nd 'May, 1940, passed a resolution by way of special Order constituting that portion of the Allenton Area recently severed from the County ana included in the Borough of Ashburton, the boundaries of which are described in the New 1 Zealand Gazette of 30th March 1939, page 75b, a separate subdivision for rating and classification for rating in accordance with “The River Boards Amendment Act 1913 as provided by section 4 Subsection 2 of “The Ashburton Rivers Act, 1936.” This resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers, Baring Square, Ashburton, on Friday sth July, 1940. A copy of the proposed Special Order is deposited at the Council Chambers, Baring Square, Ashburton, and will bo opened for inspection of the public during office hours until sth day of July, IC4O.
