PLANS OF MR ROOSEVELT.
, NEW YORK, May 13. Increasing emphasis .is given in many political quarters to the suggestion that developments in the European war will lead President Roosevelt to run for a third term. National preparedness, Hitler’s threat to world civilisation, and concrete assistance to the Allies would be the issues ,on which he would compel the-Republican Party to meet him.." President Roosevelt is expected to., make the vital point that any leader who does not dare to oppose America’s instinct for isolation will leave thecountry gravely unprepared to meet the inevitable threat of aggression should Hitler he victorious.
