LODGE MEETING.
THEi ASHBURTON DRUIDS, The half-yearly meeting of the Star of Ashburton Lodge U.A.O.D. was held last evening, the A.D. (Brother J. A. Chambers) presiding. The Bards reported on visits to sick members, and sick pay was passed in favour of 21 brothers.
The district president (Sister A. L. Hawkes) advised that she would attend a lodge on Monday, June 10 to instal the officers for the next halfyear. It was decided to invite The Lily of Temuka and Success of Ashburton lodges fo attend.
One candidate was initiated and one proposed for membership. The following officers were elected: Arch Druid, Bro. E. C. Beach; TiceArch Druid, Bro. D. A. MacDonald; secretary, Bro. G. V. Furby; treasurer, Bro. A. C. Vincent; minute secretary, Bro. H. A. Vesty; Arch Druid Bards, Bros. H. W. Hayward and E. C. McDougall; inside guardian, Bro. R. MacDonald; outside guardian, Bro. R. Neilson; vice-Arch Bards Bros. C. Ives and E. Lloyd; pianist, Bro. H. W. Hayward; auditor, Bro. C. lyes,; trustee Bro. S. L. Hawke; benevolent and distress committee, the A.D., V.A.D., secretary, treasurer, A.D., Bards and Bros. C. Ives, C. Jeffs, and H. A. Vesty.
