WEST COAST COAL MINES. (Per Press Association). GREYMOUTH, May 7. In response to the appeal by the Minister of Mines (the Hon. P. C. Webb) for increased coal production, it is shown in figures that coal exported from Greymouth fey a fourweekly period to the end of April totals' 17,154 tons, representing an increase of 5229 tons or 44 per cent, in comparison with the same period last year. Except for one co-operative mine, every mine in the district showed a substantial increase in output.
