ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY. \ ~»' The spell of fine weather of the pastfew days continued to-day When tlio sun shone brightly from a sky which was for the most part clear. There was Scarcely any wind. The maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday Avere 69.1 and 44.8 degrees compared with 62.5 and 45.1 on Sunday. ' The barometer registered 29.93 inches this morning, having remained very steady during the last 24‘hour? the reading yesterday being 29.91.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST.
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. Tlio, Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General situation: An extensive anticyclone envelops the Dominion, while conditions rfi'e disturbed over Eastern Australia. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim tOjOamarn is as follows: 9 Light to moderate northerly to north-easterly winds. Some morning low cloud or fog, but weather otherwise fair to fine and mild. Seas slight.
