GALA CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS. FINAL GAMES TO-DAY. The finals of the men’s doubles and combined doubles in the Gala Oup championships of the Mid-Canterbury Lawn Tennis Asociation were, decided this afternoon in perfect weather. The only result up till 3.30 was the men’s double semi-final, in which Bryant and Watkins beat Barnett and Horrill, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, In the first set Barnett and Horrill established an early lead, but. playing steadily, Bryant and Watkins retrieved the situation and led 3-2. Barnett and Horrill won the set, 6-4, Barnett playing well. Bryant and Watkins maintained a lead in the second set, wanning 6-4.

In the final sot play was even. Bryant and Watkins, finally being victorious.
