POLLING TO-DAY.
ELECTION IN VICTORIA. LITTLE PUBLIC. INTEREST. (United Press Association. —Copyright.) MELBOURNE, March 15. After a vigorous State election campaign in which the candidates were unable to whip up much public interest in State politics, the election takes place to-morrow for sixty-five seats in the Legislative Assembly. As the State Parliaments exert little influence on tho conduct of the war effort, the issues involved are regarded publicly as of minor interest. The causes of the election apparently make no appeal. The indications are that the present Country Party Govern menfc will be kept in office,_ with Labour support likely to continue. This alliance can lose nine seats and still have a working’ majority. Voting in many seats will ]be- close. In some the results may not he known for some days as they depend on the allotment of preferences.' < ' r '•
