NAZI TRICKERY.
PROPOSED ATTACK ON RUSSIA. WHITE BOOK REVELATION. (United Press Association.—Copyright.) LONDON, March 14. A Polish White Book, published in Paris, suggested to Poland before tlie war that the two countries should combine for an attack on Russia. “The suggestion,” "it. is stated, “was first made by Field-Marshal Coering to Marshal Pilsudski in February, .1935, when the gains that Poland would make in tho Ukraine as a result were emphasised; but Poland rejected the proposal.’’ The most important revelations are contained in a passage by the former Foreign Minister (Colonel Beck), referring to his conversations with Herr Hitler at Berehtesgaden on January 5, 1939, when Herr Hitler insisted that a strong Poland was necessary to Germany, and suggested again a joint front against Bolshevism.
The duplicity of Russia 'is also dealt with, the book pointing out that when Poland was attacked the Soviet ViceConsul for Foreign Affairs declared that Russia would maintain a benevolent neutrality, hut six days later she attacked from the rear.
