The Soviet forces have occupied Wiipuri, from which civilians, „ under the leadership of the town councillors, have been three ays removing furniture from , their homes and supplies from the shops, , leaving only the shell-scarred, empty city* It is estimated that 15,000 cattle, horses and pigs have been evacuated from the area west of Lake Ladoga. Villagers, as far as nossibie, are being kept together and evacuated from one village to another across the border. A column of lorries a mile long is transporting 8000 people and their possessions from Hanko into the interior of Fin an . evacuation proceeded all last night.
