SOCIAL EVENING.
PRESENTATION AT TINWALD. Quartermaster-Sergeant W. H. Dalton and Mrs Dalton, who have just been married, were- entertained at a social in the Tinwald Presbyterian Hall last evening. A presentation of a chiming clock Avas made by Mr J. LoAvery, clerk of the session, on behalf of the congregation. .Some pieces of crystal and a pocket Testan\ent Avere presented by Miss Florence Watson, for the Sunday School, and by the Rev. D. )D. MacLachlan for the congregation. Miss Joan MacLachlan -resented Mrs Dalton with, a shoulder spray. A cun, saucer and plate Avere also received from the Lagmhor Bible Class. On behalf of the Tinwald Patriotic Committee, Mr E. Milicham-* made a presentation, to Quartermaster-Ser-geant Dalton. Mrs D. D. MacLachlan. (Sunday School), Mrs J. Lowery (P.W.M.U.), Mr Roffey, and Miss M!. Taylor (Flemington Church) and several office-bear-ers spoke. The folloAving items were presented: Solo, Miss M. Ross • A r iolin so]o, Mr E. Harper; duet, Mrs Miller and Mrs Roffey; solo, Mr Donald Ross • anthem, choir; song, Mr R. Seaton : banjo and piano, Ross Bros.
