MATCHES AT CHRISTCHURCH. MULCQCK TAKES NINE FOE 32. CHRISTCHUIfCH, January 13. The sensation ol' the sixth round of the Canterbury Cricket Association’s competitions, concluded to-day, was the rout of the strong Lancaster Park team in the second innings against St. Albans for 50 runs. The bowler who caused the damage was E. Mulcock who took nine wickets for 32 runs, being practically unplayable. Lancaster Park, who needed only 79 runs to gain an outright win, were beaten by 28 runs. Rain in the early afternoon and just before play ended stopped only one game for a short while. Two centuries were scored, Oliver making 116 for Sydenham against Bast Christchurch, and McEwen 101 for Old Boys against West Christchurch.

The position of the teams', with one more match to play to complete the first series, is—Old Boys 29 points, Sydenham 24, Lancaster Park 23, East Christchurch 22, St. Albans 19, West Christchurch 18, Old Collegians 13, Riccarton 6. Scores :

St. Albans 150 and 70 (Nelson 27, Mapplebeek six for 31, Cromb three for 6) defeated Lancaster Park 142 (Cromb 36 not out, Muleoek six for 68, Burtt three for 55) and 50 (Stout 24, iMulcock nine for 32) by 28 runs. Old Boys 307 for six declared (McEwen 101, Baxter 98. Hill 35, Shirley three for 57) defeated West Christchurch 197 and nine for 107 (Kerr 35,

Gregory 29, Cook five for 4.4) by 110 runs on the first innings. Sydenham 238 for six declared (Oliver 116, Appleton 25) defeated East Christchurch 137 and 114 for seven (Davis not out 52, Spong four for 34) by 101 runs on the first innings. Old Collegians 308 defeated Riccarton 159 (Stringer 68, Hamilton three for 14, Lester three for 45, Walter two for 17) and 92 for five (Heazlewood 25, Hamilton three for 55) by 149 runs on the first innings.
