Jones) announced to-day the names of commanding officers for the second echelon of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force as follows: —- Fifth Infantry Brigade—Colonel J. Hargest. Twenty-first. Auckland Battalion — Lieu.-Col. Maeky. Twenty-second Wellington Battalion Major L. AY. Andrew. Twenty-third Canterbury-Otago Bat-talion—Lieut-Col. A. S'. Falconer. Twenty-eighth Maori Battalion — Major G. Dittmer. Fifth Field Regiment New Zealand Artillery —Lieut.-Col. R. E. Sleigh. Seventh Anti-tank Regiment New Zealand Artillery—Major (temporary) C. E. Weir. Seventh Field Company New Zealand Engineers—Major (temporary) I. M. H. Hanson. Squadron Second New Zealand Divisional Cavalry Regiment—Major A. •J. Nicoll. ENLISTMENT AT ASHBRUTON. There was another enlistment at Ashburton this afternoon, the total now being 190.- The recruit was : -Anthony John Johns, 63 Winter s Road, Ashburton.
