DEFENCES IN ACTION.
BELGIAN ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUNS. TWO OCCASIONS YESTERDAY. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, December 14. The situation in Belgium is obscure at present. The announcement cabled earlier about the recall of soldiers on leave has not yet been elucidated. The Belgian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement describing the rumours spread abroad as unfounded. Tt added that the interpretation given to certain measures is ‘erroneous. The situation of the country is not changed. T|ie news agencies state that important movements of troops, in which all units will take pax*t, are to be out to-day. The earlier defence measures are believed to be due to the almost daily flights of German ’planes over Belgian territory. German ’planes twice violated Belgian territory yesterday and the anti-aircraft defences were in action. ALLEGATIONS BY GERMANS.
