PERSONAL

The Rev. L. P. Bryan and Mrs Bryan left to-day for Tokarahi, North Otago, where they will spend a holiday.

Major R. E. Liddell, of the Ashburton Salvation Army, left to-day for Timaru, where he will spend his annual holiday.

Mr Raymond Oakley left on Saturday on a visit to Feilding and Tauranga. He will be away about 10 days.

A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr J. T. Smith was carried at the meeting of the Ashburton Electric Power Board this morning. The firm of Smith Bros., I Ad., are the contractors for the reconstruction of the Power Board’s office.
