THEFT OF PETROL.

TWO MEN IMPRISONED. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, January 12. When summoned by a nightwatchman to the yards of Winstones Ltd., at Mount Bosk ill, at mid-night on January 7, the police arrested two men on. a charge of stealing petrol, and seized a circular pump with rubber tubing attached, an eight-gallon milk can, and several tins and drums. A. third man who had been soon by the nightwmtollman, escaped before the arrival of the police. In the Police Court to-day, Roy George Alexander Loathart, 3/, and Frederick Donaldson, 36, labouieis, were each charged with being on premises without lawful excuse and with stealing 16 gallons of petrol. Both pleaded guilty. For theft, both were sentenced to imprisonment for one month, and on the other charge were convicted and discharged.
