The Paris correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” reports the death of the foremost radiologist, Charles Waillant, whos-e right forefinger had to be amputated in 1906 owing to radium burns, his left forefinger in 1910, his left hand in 1915, while his left shoulder was disarticulated in 1920. The progressive effects caused his retirement in 1921.
