PUPIL STRUCK ON FACE. (Per Press Association). GREYIMOpTH, This Day. Stated by the police, to haye misdirected a blow aimed to chastise a boy, Clifford Charles Bowatcr, sole, teacher at the Ivokiri School, was fined £2 in the Magistrate’S'Court 'this morning on the charge of having assaiilted. .Tames William Rooney, a pupil, aged. 9.‘Defendant, who admitted that ho struck the pupil on the face, resulting in a black eye and a bleeding nose, stated that ho 'was under mental'"stress at tho time.
