Mr P. L. Smith, past-president of the New Zealand Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants’ Federation, -returned yesterday from Wellington, where he presided at the annual conference held last week.

Mr A. N. Grigg, M.P., will bet the principal speaker at the annual breakup cotremony of the Ashburton High School in Si*, Andrew”s Hall on toe evening of Thursday, (December 14. The speaker at the break-up ceremony of the Ashburton Technical High School on the same evening, at the school Assembly Hall, sill be Mr S. L. Wright (president of the Canterbury Manufacturers® Association).
