DURING LONDON BLACKOUTS. COMPARISON FOR TWO MONTHS. (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, November 24. Figures given by the Secretary of State for Home Affairs (Sir Samuel Hoare), in reply to a question in the House of Commons concerning indictable offences known to the Metropolitan Police, show that there has been less crime in London in the black-out than formerly. The total for September and October was 12,283, compared with 16,023 in the same period last year. — British Official Wireless.
