TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General situation: The anticyclone which was located to the south yesterday has moved eastward and has become intensified, the highest .pressures now being ncnji* the Chathams. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamnru is as follows: — North-easterly winds, strong on the coast otherwise: moderate. Some scattered light rain at first but becoming fair to cloudy. Temperatures moderate on the coast, milder inland. Seas rather rough.
