SITE AT ASHBURTON EAST. BOARD’S OFFER. ACCEPTED. The offer . made by the Education Board for the purchase of 7 acres 28.8 perches of land on Oxford, Wellington and Nelson streets, having been accepted by Mrs W. H. Robinson; who owns the land, a further step has been made toward the establishment of a new primary school at Ashburton East. Advice has been received by the school committee that the purchase of the area, for the proposed new school will be completed as soon as the necessary transfer is made. The school will be built on the new site, which is immediately across the road from the present school ground.
