THE LYNDHURST BRANCH. x I The monthly meeting of the Lyndhurst AVomen’s Institute was held recently. The president (Airs S. H. Anderson) presided. Alesdames S. H. Anderson and A. C, Gadd were appointed to attend the meeting on Friday to discuss the amended constitution. Airs C. H. Watson, of Higlibank, gave a demonstration • on tapestry. Airs P. Prehhle gave an account of the half-yearly meeting of the Federation at Ashburton.
Alesdames AVatson and E. Vaughan judged the competitions, which resulted: —Toys, Airs C. Pilrow 1, Aliss N. AVoolley 2, Aliss N. Kermode 3; scones, Mrs W. Gilmour 1, Airs P. Prehhle 2, Airs IS. H. Anderson 3; flowers, Airs R. Dunkley 1, Aliss N. AVoolley 2, Airs P. Prebble 3; bloom, Miss Prehhle 1, Airs AA’oolley 2, Airs Dunkley 3. The hostesses were Airs P. Prehhle, Airs A. Stewart, and Airs E. Woolley.
