ON THE WANE.
INFLUENZA AT BURNHAM CAMP. (Per Press Association), CHRISTCHURCH, November 13. Figures released by Military District Headquarters to-day indicate that the epidemic of influenza which has been rife at Burnham Camp is now on the wane. The number reporting sick at camp was halved between Thursday and Saturday, while the number of patients evacuated to civil hospitals on Saturday was Half the number sent out on the previous day. r fhe figures for Thursday. Friday and Saturday 7 reveal that 338 men reported sick. 01 these 40 wore admitted to the camp hospital, making the total there 109, while 51 were sent to civil hospitals. Wilkie these figures show an allround reduction, a number oi men have, been on sick leave and received treatment in their homos or the homes of friends. Doctors who have attended these cases say that the influenza is not of a serious type, but distressing for the patient.
