TEMUKA MAN KILLED.
ROYAL AIR FORCE CASUALTY, DEATH ON ACTIVE SERVICE. (Received This Ray, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, November 12. The Air Ministry casualty list contains 21 deaths, including two previously reported missing. Nine are missing, included four believed killed, and four have been taken prisoners. Those killed on active service include Pilot-Officer C. C. Cameron, of Temuka, whose next-of-kin lives at Timaru. WELLINGTON, This Day. Cable advico was received in Wellington to-day that Flight Officer lan St. John Beere, of the 51st Bombing Squadron, Royal Air Force, was killed while night flying on November 8. Flight Officer Beere, who was 26 years of age, was the only son of Colonel R. St. j. Beere, solicitor, of Wellington, and Mrs Beere, who is doing war work at a hospital in Devon. REPULSE OF THE FRENCH. GERMANS TAKE PRISONERS. (Received This Day, 1.2.10 p.m.) - LONDON, November 12. It is reported from Berlin that the High Command claims to have repulsed a French attempt, supported by artillery, to capture a height near Pirmasens. The Germans took a number of prisoners. •
