ENGINE-DRIVER’S BRAVERY. FRENCH AIRMEN RESCUED. (United Press Association— Copyright.) (Received November 12, 10.30 n.m.) (PARTS, November 12. An engine-driver named D'nrckol was recommended for the Military Medal. He was driving a train in the war zone when he saw three German aircraft shoot down a. French aeroplane*, which fell in flames several hundred yards from the railway.
Durekel brought his train to a standstill and ran to the aeroplane, while the German flew low, and machinegunned him. Ho dragged out the three members of the crew from the burning aeroplane, and then drove the train away.
