FAREWELL GIFT.

PRESENTATION AT RAKAIA. An afternoon tea party, held at the home of Mrs E. Moon (secretary) was given by members of the committee of the Rakaia sub-branch of the Plunket Society, to bid farewell to Mrs Knights, who, with her husband, Canon H. J. W. Knights, is leaving the district for St. Andrews. A presentation of an engraved silver sweet dish was made to Mis Harrison), who referred to the work of Mrs Knights for the society’s interests during her residence in Rakaia. She had been president, secretary, and a member of the committee . Competitions were won by Mrs A. C. Nicol and Mrs A. W. Barber.
