BLEDISLOE’S OFFER.
GOVERNMENT'S APPRECIATION. WELLINGTON, September 29. Lord Bledisloe, former GovernorGeneral of New Zealand, having offered his country estate, Lydnoy Park, Gloucester, as a. hospital or convalescent home for New Zealand soldiers, the Government to-day dispatched to the High Commissioner in London (Mr W. J. Jordan) the following cablegram : “Will you please convey to Lord Bledisloe the Government’s warm appreciation of his generous offer of Lydnoy Park as a hospital or convalescent home for New Zealand soldiers. It is as yet too early to indicate the time when or extent to which it will be possible to take advantage of Lord Bledisloe’s offer, but the Government wishes to assure him it will avail itself of his generosity as and when circumstances would indicate.”
