THE WEATHER.
BEAUTIFULLY FINE TO-DAY. Summer-like conditions prevailed m Ashburton to-day after a. light frost of three degrees this morning. A bright sun shone from an unclouded sky. The maximum temperature yesterday was '10.9 degrees and the minimum last night was 32 degrees. The barometer stood at 20.87 inches, or 1011.1 millibars this morning. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, 1 at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— Weak depressions are located to the north-west and south-east, otherwise pressure is high and relatively uniform. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: A weak southerly change is possible to-morrow, but winds otherwise, light to moderate and variable. Scattered showers with the southerly change, otherwise weather fair to fine with moderate temperatures. Seas light.
