“THE GERMANS LIE.”
POLISH FLEET NOT DESTROYED. 35 GERMAN ’PLANES DOWN. (Received This Day, 1.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, September 7. The Budapest correspondent of the Associated Press of America says the Polish radio station broadcast states that the Germans again bombarded Warsaw, and railway lines and stations over a wide area.
Polish aviators ' brought down 35 planes yesterday. “The northern front strongly resists German attacks, while Gdynia is desperately defending its position. The Germans lie when they say they have destroyed the Polish fleet.”
