THE ASHBURTON BRANCH. The Ashburton branch of the Phtnket Society met yesterday afternoon, when Mrs E. Ruddock presided in the absence of Mrs F. V . Seldom The nurses’ report stated that car mileage in the County during the month was 706, and in , the Borough 709. With the exception of a few children the health of the babies was quite good. , Arrangements'were made for^Da(l odil 'Day on September 15. Stall-boldars reported good progress. Tt was stated that already 500 entry forms had been sent out for the "hotographie competition, which promised to he a great success. The closing date is next Friday.
