MISSIONARY UNION.

MEETING AT MAYFIELD. The president (Mrs J, S. Freeman) presided at the monthly meeting of the Mayfield Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union held in the vestry yesterday afternoon. There was a fair attendance. It was decided to hold a missionary evening in the church on October 25. A letter was received ‘ from Sifter Lowery, of Te Teko, North Island, thanking the Union for the warm clothing sent for the Maoris. A letter was also received from;. Mrs Smith, actingprincipal of the- Turakinn Maori Girls’ College, Marion. , Members enjoyed a*study of missionary work in the Punjab, India. * Afternoon..tea .was served.
