POPEYE MARRIED.
One of the world’s longest standing romances reached the altar recently, when Pop-eye the'Sailor took Olive Oyl as his bride in Fort Laudervale, Florida. The nuptials were revealed when Margie Hones, who is the voice of Olive Oyl in Paramount’s “Popove” screen cartoons, reported back to work at the Max Fleischer studios in Miami, following a week-end honeymoon. Fel. low-employees immediately arranged a wedding breakfast. The chief** item on the menu was—Spinach !
The King asked to see two AT films which were sent to him at Sandringham. The pictures were: “It’s in the Air.” which stars George Formbv, and which deals with the Roval Air Force, and “The Ware Case,” starring Clive Brook, Jane Baxter and Bnvrv Tv. Barnes. It is worthy of note"that of the bust three films made by A.T.P. at the Baling Studios, two were:chosen hv the King for private screening purposes.
