THE LYNDHURST BRANCH.

Mrs R. Dunldey (vice-president) presided at a meeting of the Lyndhurst Women’s Institute. Mrs C. H. Watson, of Highbank, gave a demonstration on shadow quilting and soft toys, and displayed several kinds of toys. The" competitions resulted as follows: Shoe trees and coatlianger, Mis O. W Svmes 1; handkerchief, Mrs R. Lnnbrick 1, Mrs O. Symes 2; loaf Mrs W. Gilmour 1, Mrs J. H. Mclvendry 2, jar of flowers, Mrs J. H. Mclvendry 1 Mrs O. W. Symes 2; flower from garden, Mrs W. Gihnour 1, Miss Koimode 2, Mrs F. Henderson and Mrs 0. AV. Symes. (equal) 3. The hostesses were Miss Gilmour, Mrs Dunldey and ■Miss Kermode.
