ARMY DEPOT FIRE
AFTER RECEIPT OF THREATS. i IMPORT CENTRE AFFFCTED. BURSTING OF PETROL TANKS. (United Press Association—Copyright.) ■(Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON May 10. ■ After anonymous threats had boon received at a nearby Royal Air Force airport a big blaze occurred at an Army ordnance depot near Nottingham last night. The depot is one of the chief distributing centres for Army cars. The petrol tanks burst into one big shed which was destroyed, the other was saved. It was at first reported that hundreds of light motor vehicles and tyres had been destroyed, but it is officially stated that no vehicles were damaged and a large number of tyres were saved. CHARGE OF INCENDIARISM. ACCUSED SOLDIER REMANDED. • (Independent Cable Service). (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 10. A soldier has been remanded on a charge of setting fire to the ordnance building.
