ST. JAMES THEATRE. Music of Liszt and Gounod, old folk songs of the days of ’49, dreamy love melodies by Sigmund Romberg and sprightly Spanish airs all went into the picture of pioneer California in the music of “The Girl of the Golden West,” musical translation of the famous David Bielaseo play, with Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy,' which is still attracting' large audiences to the St. James Theatre.
