In the fifth cricket test match, England versus South Africa, stumps were drawn early owing to the bad light. The amazing- match was carried on to the. tenth day, with England requiring 200 runs, with seven wickets- in hand. The Englishmen must leave Durban to-morrow evening to catch the liner for home. The wicket showed signs of cracking, but played few tricks till the shooting top-spinner got Gibb after 451 minutes. Edrieh made a new individual record for England in tests against South Africa. /The previous best was Hobbs’ 211 at Lords in 1924. To date, the highest score made in a fourth innings, first class, is 572 by New South Wales against South Australia at Sydney in 1908. No test team has yet made move than 450 in a fourth innings.
