HERR HITLER’S BOOK.
A NEW PUBLICATION. UNEXPURGATED EDITION. LONDON, February 24. A London firm intends to publish a complete unexpurgated translation of “Mein Kampf,” Herr Hitler’s famous book. It wilt pay royalties in the ordinary way to the German Propaganda Ministry. It is understood that publishers throughout the world who hold the copyright of Herr Hitler’s works, have been unable to issue complete translations, because they could not secure authority from/Germany. It is considered unlikely, however, that any attempt will be made to interfere with publication in England, cjr in the United States, where the book was published ofn January 28. The edition of “Mein Kampf” (“My Struggle”) now sold in 'British countries is an abridged version, Herr Hit ler' having refused permission to publish the full text. Profits from the full American publication are to be devoted to refugee funds. The first complete Japanese translation will shortly be published at Tolcio. PiTofessor Kihro Gorai, who is preparing the complete translation, applied to Herr Hitler for the rights in 1931, but Herr Hitler then required a 10 per cent royalty. With the development of a German-Japanese rapprochement, however, the translators have been able to obtain the (rights from the Nazi Party, their present, owner, at five per cent.
